From March 5–7, 2026, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ljubljana hosted three intensive days of GenAID workshops in Ljubljana, bringing together students and researchers focused on engineering and smart product development.

Participants from the University of Ljubljana, TU Wien, TU Darmstadt, Politecnico di Milano, and the University of Zagreb visited industry partner Akrapovič d.d. to explore a real engineering challenge. The teams then moved to Center Rog, where international, multidisciplinary groups began developing solution concepts.

GenAID gives students hands-on experience with AI tools in product development, real-world problem solving, and cross-border collaboration—guided by university mentors and industry partners through three structured project phases.

This workshop reflects GenAID’s broader aim: connecting academic excellence with the practical challenges of industry.
